Top 5 Book to Movie Wishlist

  1. The Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. This would make an amazing animated film or tv series. If you’ve read the books, you’ll know what I mean because these books actually have these amazing illustrations all the way through and an animation could do it justice. I’m thinking something like the moving castle in the Studio Ghibli film Howl’s Moving Castle.
  2. Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Now some of you may be thinking there is already a film, but I’m not counting it because it was terrible. This book/series has great potential for a film (or tv series) and so it had to be on my list.
  3. The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series by Michelle Paver. This series is targeted at children (I think) and would make a great live action or animated film. – I think I would prefer an animated film. I love the characters and the dynamics between them, so would love to see them come to life.
  4. Old Man’s War by John Scalzi. I love the new Star Trek films, so I would love this book and the series in general to be converted into film. You would have great banter between the characters, action and a great plot in the form of a film – if done well this would make an amazing film.
  5. Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher, and the other books in the series. I absolutely love this series and would be really interested into seeing how it could be adapted into a film (or tv series).
