Favourite Christmas films

Hi guys, it’s now only a couple of weeks till Christmas! So it seems approriate to share some of my favourite holiday/festive films. Now I have to admit that I haven’t actually seen a lot of Christmas film, so this post isn’t going to be a long one :). My family aren’t big Christmas people – don’t get me wrong we have a great, quiet Christmas and we decorate, bake etc. However we don’t start getting Christmasy until the week before Christmas day or there about. We don’t watch Christmas films together or anything like that. So I don’t really have a lot to share, but I do have a few.
  • Muppets Christmas Carol – directed by Brian Henson and starring Michael Caine
  • The Grinch – directed by Ron Howard and starring Jim Carrey
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas – animation – directed by Henry Selick
  • The Holiday – directed by Nancy Meyers and starring Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black
The Muppets film and The Grinch are two Christmas classics, in my opinion. The Grinch just brings back nostalgia from watching it as a kid, and I’ve rewatched the Muppets quite a few times now. The Nightmare before Christmas is a bit of a confusing one – it’s part Christmas, part Halloween film. The Holiday is a great, cosy rom-com that is perfect to watch around Christmas. Other than that I don’t really have any. I have seen Elf but to be honest I am not a big fan. So let me know if you have any recommendations for me – maybe this year I’ll try to watch some more Christmas films. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.
