The Christmas Tag

Hi guys, it is day 24 of blogmas. That’s right – it is Christmas eve :). I hope you are all ready for tomorrow. For years this would be the day we frantically wrapped all the presents because we had left it to the last minute! Thankfully the last couple of years we’ve been a bit more organised :). So today I thought I would do the Christmas tag – it seemed like a good time to post it. I also thought that I would share a picture of our Christmas tree with you all. It looks super bright but I think that is just because it was dark outside – it doesn’t look that bright in real life and it’s not as pink. Onto the questions.

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
To be honest, I’ve not really seen alot of Christmas films. I think the Muppets Christmas Carol is a classic, but apart from that I don’t know. I enjoyed the Nightmare Before Christmas but that’s a weird hybrid of a Christmas and Halloween film. I have to admit that I am not a fan of the film Elf… sorry. Oh the Grinch is a good one from my childhood :). Also the Holiday is a good cosy winter watch.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We open our presents on Christmas morning, although me and my sister get one present (new pyjamas) that we open on Christmas eve – it’s a little Christmas tradition of this family :). We have always opened our presents on Christmas morning and then we just have a nice chilled day.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Nothing immediately comes to mind. We always have a lovely quiet Christmas, so I don’t have one stand out memory. I do remember the excitement of waking up in the morning as a child though :). Although I do remember one bad time – just before Christmas I went to a sleepover at a friend’s house. One of the girls was sick and went home early but I had already caught the illness and was badly ill over Christmas – it wasn’t a great time.

4. Favourite festive food?
This post isn’t really expressing my love for Christmas 🙂 I don’t really have an answer for this one either. I don’t like mince pies or Christmas cake and we don’t have the traditional turkey… So I can’t say I have a favourite festive food. I do love a chocolate advent calendar though :).

5. Favourite Christmas gift?
My family are pretty good at gift giving so I don’t really have an answer for this one. You have probably realised by now I am not great at picking favourites :).

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
I love the traditional smells of winter, so warm and spicy scents. The Winter scent from White company is a favourite of mine. I currently have one of their Winter diffusers going and it smells amazing. Other than that, the smell of a real Christmas tree is great as well.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
We only really have one – me and my sister get to open one present before we go to bed. It is always new pyjamas. Apart from that we just have a nice chilled day. As I mentioned earlier, we used to have to spend Christmas eve frantically wrapping presents, but the last couple of years we’ve managed to avoid that.

8. What tops your tree?
We actually have two things that go on top – a toy clown and an angel. I don’t really know why we put a clown on top but that is what we do :). We have always put those two things on top of the tree together :).

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I don’t think I’ve ever asked for such a gift, at least nothing comes to mind. So I think I am going to have to pass on this question.

10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
I love everything about Christmas. The festive feeling, the cosy days/evenings by the fire, the time with family, the baking, the music and the process of giving as well as receiving.  The thing I love this most is the chilled time with the family. We keep it pretty simple at our house, so it is generally just the four of us. Everything about Christmas is amazing. 🙂

So that is the Christmas tag. I can’t believe blogmas is now over and tomorrow is Christmas day. Since I am not posting tomorrow, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas right now. I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. What is your favourite thing about Christmas? It is definitely my favourite time of the year :). I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.

Merry Christmas

Pippa
