It is that time of the week for another Top Ten Tuesday. It is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010. This weeks topic is books on your fall TBR. Personally I say autumn but you get the idea :). I have quite a few books I want to read this autumn, as well as winter, so I can really just talk about all the books on my bookshelves. I don’t think I’ll be able to read all of them though. So let’s get started.
-
Mistress of the Empire / Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts / Empire trilogy – book 3
-
The Good People / Hannah Kent
-
Night Without Stars / Peter F. Hamilton / Commonwealth: Chronicles of the Fallers duology – book 2
-
The Power / Naomi Alderman
-
Gather the Daughters / Jennie Melamed
-
Station Eleven / Emily St. John Mendal (kindle)
-
Fool’s Assassin / Robin Hobb / The Fitz and the Fool trilogy – book 1
-
Magician: Apprentice / Raymond E. Feist / The Riftwar Saga – book 1 (kindle)
-
The Makioka Sisters / Jun’ichirō Tanizaki
-
Sovereign / C. J. Sansom / Shardlake series – book 3
Hopefully I will get to all of these books this autumn or at least by the end of the year. So far this month I haven’t done a lot of reading but I’m hoping to get back into reading a lot soon. There are quite a few other books on my TBR but I think I want to get to these ones most of all at the moment. What books are on your autumn/fall TBR? I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.

I hope you enjoy the latest Fitz trilogy, I thought it was great!
Tried Feist’s ‘Magician’ a while ago but did not finish, just wasn’t for me.

I’m sure I will as I’ve loved all of the previous books! Ah OK fair enough. I’m interested to see what I will think. 🙂

I keep meaning to try Robin Hobb but there are so many books now it’s a bit daunting! Station Eleven is excellent. I’ve also read The Power and Gather the Daughters which leave you plenty to think about but I did find GtD a bit too uncomfortable for me.

I would definitely recommend starting with Assassin’s Apprentice! It’s the best place to start. Yeah I’ve heard nothing but good things about Station Eleven. Oh OK well I’m interested to see how I’ll find it.

I’ve heard lots of good things about Station Eleven. Everyone I know who’s read it says it’s amazing and that I should read it, so I’ll definitely have to read it this fall. I love the cover for The Makioka Sisters and Gather the Daugthers, they’re gorgeous.

Great list! I can’t wait for The Good People to be released, and I’m really intrigued by both The Power and Gather the Daughters. I read Station Eleven a few autumns ago, and I still find myself thinking about it. It is a great fall book, although it is even more harrowing to read in the middle of flu season… Happy fall reading!
