Favourite Authors

Hi guys, I hope you are all well. Today I wanted to talk about my favourite authors. I’ve split this post into two categories; fantasy authors and other fiction authors. You guys know by now that I read a lot of fantasy so it made sense to talk about favourite fantasy authors separately. In no particular order, let’s get started.

Fantasy authors:
  • Robin Hobb – Read: 18 books / Favourite: Tawny Man trilogy
    • Read: The Farseer trilogy, The Liveship Trader’s trilogy, the Rain Wild Chronicles, the Tawny Man trilogy, the Fitz and the Fool trilogy, The Wilful Princess and the Piebald Prince and Shaman’s Crossing.


  • Brian McClellan – Read 6 books / Favourite: Powder Mage trilogy
    • Read: The Powder Mage trilogy, the first two books in the Gods of Blood and Powder trilogy and War Cry.


  • Garth Nix – Read 20 books / Favourite: Old Kingdom trilogy
    • Read: The Old Kingdom trilogy, Clariel, Goldenhand, Keys to the Kingdom series, the Seventh Tower series, Shade’s Children and To Hold a Bridge.


  • Adrian Tchaikovsky – Read 8 books / Favourite: Echoes of the Fall trilogy

That’s all for today. There are just so many authors I could talk about. Some of the honourable mentions are so close to being favourites but I kind of want to read a few more books by them before they make the list :). Are you a fan of any of these authors?   1. I really should read more of Robin Hobb! So far I’ve only read the assassins apprentice, really should continue the series!
