UK vs. US Covers 2019

Hi guys, I hope you are all well. It’s time for another UK vs. US book covers post, since it’s been a while since I posted my last one. If you’ve seen my other posts then you know the drill, if not then I basically share the UK and US covers of a few different books and pick a favourite. I really like putting these posts together so I thought it was about time I did another one. For this post, I’ve picked the covers of 2019 book releases to choose between. The UK covers are on the left and the US covers are on the right.Let’s get started.

The Ruin Of Kings / book 1 of the Chorus of Dragons / Jenn Lyons
These two are basically the same, just different colours and font. I really like both but I definitely prefer the red of the UK cover. I also prefer the font of the UK cover. I do like the grey of the US cover though. I haven’t read this one yet but I will be picking it up soon.

The Night Tiger / Yangsze Choo / ★★.5
Again I really like both covers of this book, but I like the UK one slightly more than the US cover. I think the UK cover represents the books story a bit better than the US one, if that makes sense.

Soul of the Sword / book 2 of the Shadow of the Fox / Julie Kagawa
While I do like the UK cover, this one has to go to the US cover. Basically I love the colours of the US one and the overall look is just so nice. The UK cover is still great though.

Beneath the Twisted Tree / book 4 of the Song of the Shattered Sand / Bradley Beaulieu
This one has to go to the UK cover. I don’t know who does the UK covers for this series but they are so talented – all the covers are fantastic. I like the colours of the US cover but I’m not a fan of people being on the cover, especially if you can see their face.

The Winter of the Witch / book 3 of the Winternight trilogy / Katherine Arden
Both of these covers are fantastic, but again I am giving this one to the UK cover. I just love the look of it and I think it suits the book a bit more. Also this is a fantastic conclusion to this trilogy.

That’s it for today. I hope you guys enjoy these posts, because I do :). Have you guys read any of these books? I’d also love to know whether you agree or disagree with my choices. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.
