Hi guys, I hope you are all well. Today I wanted to share the books I’ve picked up recently. It was actually my birthday last week so quite a few of these I got for that. It’s not a birthday without books right? :). Anyway, let’s get started.

The Sword of Kaigen / M. L. Wang
This is a Japanese inspired high fantasy standalone, set in the same world as the author’s Theonite series. I read this as an e-book but I loved it so much I decided to get the paperback edition to add to my fantasy bookshelf. I highly recommend checking this book out. Check out my full review here.

The Empire of Ashes / Anthony Ryan
This is the third and final book in the Draconis Memoria trilogy. I have loved the first two books but I had them in paperback so I wanted to wait until the last instalment came out in paperback before getting it. I really enjoyed this book and I would definitely recommend checking the trilogy out.

The Hobbit / J. R. R. Tolkien
This is the Folio society edition. The Hobbit is a fantastic book and so I was so happy to receive this stunning edition for my birthday.

Chinese Fairy tales and Fantasies / Moss Roberts
This is another Folio society edition I was lucky enough to receive for my birthday. I am so excited to dip in and out of this book – it looks really good.

Cage of Souls / Adrian Tchaikovsky
Another birthday present, this is one of the author’s latest releases. I have read and loved quite a few of his books so I cannot wait to check this one out. Also, the cover of this book is so pretty.

A Winter’s Promise / Christelle Dabos
Again, this was a birthday present. It’s the last one, I promise :). I’ve had my eye on this one for a while now so I can’t wait to finally read it. I don’t know too much about it but I’ve heard some good things. The cover of this one is also very pretty.
I have also been lucky enough to receive some digital copies from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. These ones include;
-
David Mogo, Godhunter / Suyi Davies Okungbowa
-
Children of Ruin / Adrian Tchaikovsky
-
Velocity Weapon / Megan E. O’Keefe
That’s it for today. I can’t wait to read these books, although I have already read The Sword of Kaigen, The Empire of Ashes and The Hobbit. Have you guys read any of these books? I’d love to know what you thought of them. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I will see you next time.

You received some lovely books for your birthday! I especially love that edition of The Hobbit. And I also like buying physical copies of ebooks or audiobooks that I loved. 😀
